New Stylized Honda CR-V launched

Honda has today launched a new version of its popular SUV the "Honda CR-V". This new Honda CR-V has a distinctive combination of refined styling and high quality.
New Honda CR-VThe new Honda CR-V comes with:
• First of all, a refreshed look!
• New two step front grille.
• Re-sculpted hood & front bumper design and oval shape fog lamps
• New rear bumper that further accentuates the stability of the car

The new Honda CR-V is 45 mm longer than its predecessor although the width, height, ground clearance and head clearance measures same as its predecessor. Moreover, it has got a 10-spoke alloy wheel design replaces the earlier 7-spoke alloy wheel design and adds much more sporty look to it.

About the interior:
The new Honda CR-V is equipped with six airbags - Dual SRS Airbags, Side-Curtain airbags and Side Airbags with Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS). The music system features a new USB port in the upper glove compartment in keeping with the latest trend of music storage. The overall interior colour scheme has been brightened and gives a more premium look with chrome finish in audio controls & gear knob and coordinated colour changes in the dashboard and centre console. The centrally located LCD meter display is now blue in colour with design changes in the indicators for improved decipherability. The vanity mirror is equipped with a light to assist visibility during darkness.

Colours:
The New Honda CR-V comes in two new exciting colours - Opal Sage Metallic and Premium Mystic Night Pearl besides the existing ones which includes Polished Metal, Alabaster Silver, Crystal Black Pearl and Premium White.

Variants:
The new Honda CR-V will be available in 2.0 L - MT 2WD and 2.4L MT /AT Real-time 4WD. The 2.4 L models comes with steering-mounted Cruise Control system with illuminated controls which ensures comfort and much more conveinience for the customer with one touch operation.

General Motors cruises in with CRUZE

Genaral Motors India kicked up competition in the sedan segment by driving in Cruze at an aggresive entry price of Rs. 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), placing the model below competitors like Honda Civic, Toyota Altis, Skoda Laura and Volkswagen Jetta. The Cruze, that comes in two variants, sports a 2 litre diesel engine and the company plans to introduce a petrol as well as an automatic version after sometimes.The pricing of the Cruze indicates GM's aggresive stance, especially as the company attempts to strengthen its branding in India and move away from the negative impact of bankruptcy and restructuring its parent in US.

The segment in which Cruze has been launched commands monthly sale of around 4000 units and GM's marketing head Ankush Arora said it has been growing at a little over 10%. The company expects sell of 800-1000units of Cruze monthly in beginning before the number stabilizes around 600 units, Arora added.
